Climate change and loss of nature are crises that have profound effects on people, their social problems and health, and their communities. Social work should have an essential role in preventing and combating such crises. To fulfil this role sustainable and green social work must be included in social work education. This is why Maudal is exploring and developing ways of including sustainable and green social work in the curricula. She is currently living on Svalbard and experiences the climate change in her daily life.
