Oda Gravdal Ulriksen

Oda Gravdal Ulriksen is a 27-year-old master’s student in child welfare and the leader of FO-Studentene, the student organization of the Norwegian Union of Social Workers (FO). In her role, she actively advocates for student rights and well-being, ensuring a stable and supportive environment for those pursuing careers in social work and welfare professions.

Growing up with a mother who worked as a child welfare educator, Oda developed a deep understanding of social work early on. She has held multiple roles where people and community care have been at the center of her work. Alongside her studies, she works at a child welfare institution, supporting children and young people who cannot live at home. Through skill-building and outdoor activities, she helps them develop resilience and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

Oda is a passionate advocate for young voices and is dedicated to making student perspectives heard in professional and political debates. She represents a different take on Generation Z—one that values looking back in time, using history as an essential guide, and connecting past experiences to present and future challenges. Her work is driven by a commitment to shaping a more sustainable, inclusive, and just society for future generations.
